eSocialMedia was founded by Colm Hannon and Tim Hodder who met through a professional networking group in London in 2008. Colm was helping the online recruitment company Careerbuilder to launch in Europe where he sold Enterprise Facebook Solutions to FTSE 250′s when Facebook advertising was in its very infancy. After three years of providing online enterprise solutions it became clear that what companies were interested in more than social media advertising was advice and consultancy on how to effectively deploy Social Media across the business, not as an advertising solution but more importantly as a method of online communication and conversation. Looking around this didn’t seem to be a service that existed at the time. Tim Hodder had a track record of building and managing a number of successful technology consultancies and was the MD for Effectivate, a leader in recruitment selection technology and he still sits on their board today. With Tim’s reputation for providing consultancy and training to blue chip companies combined with his attention to detail the two decided to launch eSocialMedia in September 2009. Today eSocialMedia provides bespoke Social Media strategies and project management and delivery services to some of the most successful companies in the World. These strategies based on proven methodologies help companies to use online social interaction to achieve real business results.
